Hi, and welcome. This is my little corner of the web where I write about a project that's been going on for several years now: building a proper bass horn. Not one of the short, folded designs you find everywhere online, but a big exponential horn that plays genuinely deep.
The idea started with a good friend, and the more we looked into it, the more I got hooked. There's something wonderful about horns — the efficiency is enormous, the driver barely has to move, and the sound comes out open, dynamic and clean.
The idea was a horn that reaches all the way down to at least 20 Hz, with high efficiency and no distortion you can actually hear. It would be a shame not to try.
